The prestigious event will take place at the JW Marriott Washington, DC, showcasing the achievements of Hispanic entrepreneurs and advocates who are shaping the future of business in the region. This year’s gala, themed “Winter Wonderland,” promises an evening filled with inspiration, celebration, and networking, featuring Alberto Pimienta, Anchor for Telemundo44, and Susan Hogan, News4 Consumer Investigative Reporter for NBC4, as the event’s emcees. Attendees will enjoy a silent auction, live entertainment, and a program honoring distinguished awardees. The event kicks off with a Silent Auction and Networking Reception at 6:00 PM, followed by the Dinner Program at 7:00 PM. Awardees The GWHCC is proud to present awards to exceptional individuals and businesses who have made significant contributions to the Hispanic business community: Legacy Award: Jay Haddock and Héctor Torres, recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Hispanic business community. Young Hispanic Entrepreneurs of the Year: Aris and Raymond Compres, co-founders of Los Hermanos Dominican Restaurant, for their entrepreneurial spirit and success in the restaurant industry. Small Business Champion of the Year: Rocio Treminio-Lopez, for her dedication and leadership in advancing small business interests. Small Business of the Year: Arlington Economic Development, for its support of small businesses and its role in driving economic growth in the region. Representatives from the Latin American Youth Center, Tenants & Workers United, Latino Economic Development Center, and the GWHCC Foundation will each receive laptops as part of Comcast's commitment to supporting these vital organizations. Next week, Comcast, Telemundo 44, and NBC4 will personally deliver 20 laptops to each organization, further supporting their missions.
