(GWHCC News) - On June 14th, the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC), the leading Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in the Washington metropolitan region, celebrated its 43rd Annual Gala at the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino. More than 450 leaders from the local and federal government, nonprofits, corporations and small businesses attended the event to celebrate the first-ever Hispanic Business Hall of Fame, which recognized business leaders whose legendary achievements continue to promote and advance the economic climate of our communities. The honorees for this year’s Gala were: GWHCC Legacy Award – María Gómez, Founder of Mary's Center GWHCC Young Hispanic Entrepreneur Award – Juan Pablo Segura, Founder of Babyscripts GWHCC Corporate Community Anchor Award – Pepco Holdings “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to recognize these exemplary recipients and their work, which serves as an inspiration for our current members, community, and the next generation of Hispanic professionals,” said Nicole Quiroga, GWHCC President and CEO. During the event, GWHCC welcomed its new Board Chairman, Juan Jara, Senior Vice President and Market Manager at City National Bank. Margarita Dilone, outgoing Board Chair, officially announced the Leadership Transition during the event. “On behalf of the GWHCC board and staff we would like to express our gratitude to Margarita for her leadership during the last two years,” said Nicole Quiroga, GWHCC President and CEO. “We are very excited to welcome Juan as Chairman and continue the work of the Chamber in Moving Businesses Forward.” This year’s emcee was Pedro Biaggi, producer and national radio host of the podcast "Pedro Biaggi Encendío." GWHCC Welcomes New Board of Directors Chairman
Washington, D.C. (GWHCC News) - On June 14th, the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC), the leading Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in the Washington metropolitan region, celebrated its 43rd Annual Gala at the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino.
More than 450 leaders from the local and federal government, nonprofits, corporations and small businesses attended the event to celebrate the first-ever Hispanic Business Hall of Fame, which recognized business leaders whose legendary achievements continue to promote and advance the economic climate of our communities.
