In keeping with this commitment to the people of Puerto Rico, PenFed also launched a partnership with EVERFI, a leading education company, at the beginning of this year. The partnership allows PenFed to bring an innovative and scalable financial education technology platform at no cost to public and private K-12 schools across Puerto Rico. Through the program, students are now gaining access to a proven curriculum teaching them how to make smart financial decisions and achieve success in life. This innovative program is called “Tu Dinero, Tu Sueño” (“Your Money, Your Dreams”) and teaches students about hundreds of topics including credit scores, budgeting, insurance, credit cards, student loans, mortgages, taxes, stocks, savings, 401k’s and other critical concepts. The program has thus far been a success and PenFed CEO and GWHCC Board member, James Schenck, will deliver a keynote speech at an EVERFI conference this November in Puerto Rico on the importance of financial literacy. GWHCC thanks PenFed for their support to the people of Puerto Rico and looks forward to them joining us on our mission trip this October.
